Soooo...here comes the sun, right? RIGHT? Seriously, spring, where is the warm? I can't take much more. First you give me a winter plague and then you follow it with cold windy days?

I was hoping to post something springy for you guys but let's be honest, we're all still walking around in knit hats and scarves in April.

This was one of my go-to outfits this year, and I wore it most recently to a networking event hosted by the DC EcoWomen. It incorporates my favorite (vegan) Stella McCartney boots, my favorite clutch (gifted to me in Egypt), and my favorite bracelet from Secondi.

What warm and cozy faves are you still wearing?

Some winter faves as we spring ahead

As we (finally) spring ahead to warmer weather, I thought we could take a look back at some of my favorite winter looks.

Two questions for you, my fair friends:
  1. Do you have any favorites I missed?
  2. What would you like to see more of on My Fair Vanity?

After ogling the exquisite Mayan artifacts and jewelry in the Phillip Johnson Pavillion, Victoria and I walked through the rare book collection of the Dumbarton Oaks Museum, which was equally as beautiful and thus deserved its own post. If you haven't yet had the chance to pay a visit to Dumbarton Oaks, I can't stress enough that it's worth a (free!) visit.

I spent a perfect Sunday afternoon at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection last Sunday with my friend and photographer extraordinaire, Victoria. Founded by Robert Woods Bliss and Mildred Barns Bliss and now administered by Harvard University, the museum and libraries are housed in what I would certainly call one of Georgetown's hidden gems.

Filled with natural light, beautiful pre-Columbian artifacts and Mayan jewelry, Dumbarton Oaks is the ideal place to spend your next free weekend.

Tune in on Friday to see more of our visit.
